![]() ![]() These rings are handmade from wood, silver and gold. Each one is unique and can be made to the customer’s requirements. A few examples below may give you an idea of proportion and style. Most wooden rings are carved or turned. This means the end grain crosses the ring twice and makes it weak. To overcome this, wooden jewellery is often quite chunky. These rings are not carved or turned but instead they are steam bent, which means that the attractive long grain continues around the entire circumference of the ring, giving it both beauty and strength. As a result of this strength, rings can be made to ‘normal’ band dimensions and are incredibly durable. These rings do not break (unless subjected to abnormal blows). They are however subject to wear as is a wooden floor or worktop. With care and common sense however these rings can last for many years.
